Kenya Airways passengers can bid to upgrade

Applies across Kenya Airways network

Kenya Airways has gone live with an online programme that gives Economy Class passengers an opportunity to bid for an upgrade to Business Class.

Passengers on all KQ scheduled flights on Economy Class, across the network, will be able to log onto the airlines website to make an offer at least 36hrs before departure for the upgrade.

The passenger will be required to submit their credit card information, booking reference number and their suggested price. A confirmation email will be sent to the highest bidder for the available seat within 24 hours before check-in to let the passenger know whether their offer was accepted.

Successful bids will give passengers the chance to enjoy all the business class luxuries including fast tracked check-in at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) the Sky Priority counter.

Upgraded passengers will also have access on KQ world class Pride and Simba lounge and a wide selection of menu options among other features offered by Kenya Airways on its Business Class cabin.

Unsuccessful upgrades will however not be charged

Flying Blue passengers can also use their miles to upgrade from economy to Business Class or access lounges in main airports.
