Hainan Airlines picks Thales for IFE on its A330s

Hainan Airlines operates 23 Airbus A330 aircraft

Hainan Airlines is to equip its future fleet of A330s with Thales AVANT IFE system.

The first aircraft is expected to enter service in late 2017.

Hainan Airlines already operates Thales IFE systems on both Boeing and Airbus aircraft.

AVANT is Thales InFlyt Experience’s state-of-the-art Android-based IFE solution. It includes a highly customisable passenger experience with a robust selection of features and applications.

The fleet will be equipped with the latest AVANT full HD monitors, featuring high power USB charging for personal electronic devices. Thales says the monitors are the most lightweight ever deployed.

Today, AVANT has been selected by 19 airlines and globally more than 230 aircraft are flying with the AVANT system. The system is available to all new generation Boeing and Airbus platforms.

Dominique Giannoni, CEO, Thales InFlyt Experience:

Hainan Airlines is a long-term customer of Thales, and we are pleased to reinforce our successful relationship by providing to the airline the most advanced IFE solution from Thales. This selection is a testament to our continued investment in the China market. We look forward to collaborating with Hainan Airlines to delight passengers.
