Delhi International Airport has launched Shopflydel, India’s first airport e-shopping platform.
Domestic passengers departing from Terminal 3 and 1 can pre-order products online from a number of categories, including beauty, confectionery, fashion, souvenirs and pens.
Passengers can book the products of their choice from 30 days to 12 hours before their flight.
They get confirmation of the order by email and can pay by cash or card.
Offers include a discount on select products, home delivery of purchased products, and sale prices on exclusive goods.
Delhi intends to extend the online shopping facility to international passengers in the near future.
The airport has recently introduced a number of digital initiatives including self check-in kiosks, self bag drop and a mobile app.
