Pakistan International Airlines introduces online check-in

Available on some domestic routes at the moment

Passengers with Pakistan International Airlines can now make bookings and do check-in on its website and mobile app.

The airline’s passengers can now book tickets online, give feedback and also check-in through the PIA website or mobile apps before arriving at the airport.

Online check-in (OLCI) is available on PIA’s website and through its mobile apps. Initially, OLCI can only be used on domestic flights between Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. The airline plans to extend the facility to other domestic and international routes.

Passengers can use web check-in 24 hours before the scheduled departure and up to 3 hours before flight departure time. However, passengers with web check-in are required to report at check-in counter for baggage drop off at least 45 minutes before the flight departure time due to security checks at the airport.

Acting CEO PIA, Mr. Nayar Hayat, said that Online Check-In through website and mobile apps is a step forward in PIA’s quest to improve the passenger experience and PIA will continue to bring further improvements in order to facilitate and please our passengers. He congratulated PIA’s ICT Department for the design and implementation of the new mobile apps and online check-In capability.

These added facilities and features are part of the Digital Transformation Program at PIA with the aim to facilitate its passengers by providing online and self-service capabilities.
