Mineta San José International Airport (SJC) has launched a smartphone app from FlySmart, offering real-time flight notifications and airport information. It also features listings for concessions, all available to iPhone, iPad, Android and BlackBerry users.
The FlySmart app (flysmartapp.com) gives travellers free access to information about SJC and over 100 US and international airports before and during their journey. Detailed maps offer quick links to airport driving directions, on-airport parking information, ground transportation options, and terminal layout. Passengers can access the airline directory and visually locate check-in counters, restaurants and shops, and services offered such as The Club at SJC.
Other important features are real-time push alerts to update itinerary changes and departure notifications, as well as the ability to track flight itinerary on one screen.
“Silicon Valley travellers now have airport and flight information at their fingertips with the free FlySmart app while travelling through SJC and their destination or connecting airport,” said Mineta San José International Airport Director of Aviation Bill Sherry. “This unique approach joins technology with customer service, allowing travellers to maximize access to information while reducing clutter on smartphones as FlySmart hosts information for 100 airports worldwide.”
The new FlySmart app is available for free download from iTunes, Google Play and Blackberry App World for consumers using iPhone, Android and Blackberry phones and tablets.
