Self print bag tag now available for Iberia Latin America flights

Self print bag tags are now available on Iberia to and from Latin America and Switzerland

Self print bag tag is now possible for Iberia passengers for 10 international destinations and all flights connecting with these destinations and within Spain, operated by Iberia, Iberia Express and Regional/Air Nostrum.

To use MyBagTag, passengers use online check-in through www.iberia.com to fly to any of those destinations, add the number of bags and print the labels for their journey on plain paper, in black and white or in colour.

The paper is folded and inserted into a reusable plastic holder. The holder is attached to the luggage, just like a normal name tag, and the bags are then dropped at special bag drop counters.

In July 2013 Iberia became the first airline to use self print bag tag and were followed by Air France in January 2014. Qatar Airways also now offer the facility (called My Q-Tag).

Billund airport in Denmark actually led the way in May 2012.
