SAS Remap feature added to app

SAS passengers can create unique guides with their tips.

SAS is now presenting Remap – a brand new feature of the SAS App – where SAS customers easily and visually can customize and share their personal travel guides with other passengers.

The SAS App is currently used by over 1.8 million people to book flights, check-in, select seats, see their EuroBonus points balance, and read magazines and newspapers, for example.

The new Remap feature is the first digital platform where passengers can create unique and personalized travel guides with their own tips, and those of their friends combined on the one map.

Eivind Roald, Executive Vice President Commercial at SAS:

“Many of our customers are highly experienced travelers and have a lot of travel tips they want to share with one another. At the same time, the most personal travel tips come from the people we know and those who know us best. So we are proud to offer a brand new digital solution which makes it quick and easy to share tips and experiences with friends, family and colleagues.”

Under the “My maps” section of the SAS App, passengers can create their own map containing travel tips for destinations all over the world.

The map can be shared with friends, via Facebook, text message, or e-mail, and they can also add their travel tips on the same map.

The result is millions of customized travel guides, which travelers can share and edit. As the travel tips are shown on a map, it is also possible to get directions to each of the recommended places to visit, and things to do.

Passengers can receive and view others travel guides without installing the SAS App, but for the best experience Remap should be opened via the SAS App.

The SAS App and the new Remap feature are fully available to the more than 4.2 million EuroBonus. members. Non-members can join via the app, which is free to download from the App Store and Google Play.
