SpiceJet opens premium lounges at three Indian airports

India low-cost carrier, SpiceJet, has opened premium lounges at three Indian airports.

The new lounges are at Varanasi, Jaipur and Guwahati and offer passengers space to unwind, snack and work at leisure before they take their flight.

Apart from comfortable seating, the lounges offer an array of facilities which include complimentary Wi-Fi access, flight information screen, televisions, newspapers and magazines among others. The service, which is available only at domestic departure terminals, will also offer a fixed menu to be served during the operational hours of the lounge. It will include soft beverages, vegetarian and non-vegetarian starters and desserts.

The service can be pre-bought from websites and reservations at a minimal cost of Rs600 (about USD 9).

The new launches are an extension of the airline’s existing portfolio of premium lounges at Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kochi airports which offer services at both, domestic and international airports, for a minimal price of Rs600 (about USD 9) and Rs1200 (about USD 18) respectively.

These lounges also include drinks (restricted to 2 in case of alcoholic drinks at international departure terminals), showers (applicable for international departures only) and mobile/laptop battery charging facility, among others.
