Wizz Air Abu Dhabi (5W) has made its first flight.
The new airline made the 5 hour 45 minute flight from Abu Dhabi to Athens with one of its four Airbus A321neo aircraft.
The airline is flying the route twice a week to start with going up to three a week in mid-February.
Flights to Thessaloniki start on 04 February. More routes are planned to Alexandria, Kutaisi, Larnaca, Odesa and Yerevan.
Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is a joint venture by Abu Dhabi based ADQ and Wizz Air. ADQ has a 51% stake, Wizz Air has 49%.
