World2fly, the new long-haul airline recently founded by the Spanish hotel company Iberostar, has taken delivery of the first of two A350-900s.
The airline, based on the Balearic island of Mallorca, will operate the two A350-900 aircraft on long-haul routes from Madrid to leisure destinations, such as Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), Cancun (Mexico) and La Habana (Cuba).
World2fly is starting operations on 19 June 2021 with a flight from Madrid to Punta Cana leaving at 1530. The flight takes about 8 and a half hours and cheapest tickets are about 500 euros return.
World2fly is leasing the aircraft from Air Lease Corporation. They expect the second leased A350-900 in May 2022.

The airline is also operating a leased Airbus A330-300. That aircraft is also all economy. It has 388 economy seats in a 2-4-2 layout over 3 cabin areas.

By the end of May 2021, the A350 Family had received 915 orders from 49 customers.
