Australia’s first in-airport hotel opens at Sydney Airport


Sydney Airport has opened Australia’s first in-airport hotel.

The new hotel is in T1 International terminal arrivals hall, a few steps from the arrivals hall and one floor below check-in and departures.

The Aerotel features 15 Solo and Double rooms that passengers can book by the hour up to a maximum of six hours.

Rooms have a private bathrooms with an en-suite bathroom, shower a shower and toiletries, high-speed Wi-Fi and a TV.

There is a lounge area with food and drink options. The food options include sandwiches, salads and hot meals while drinks include coffee, tea, soft drinks, juices, beer, wine and spirits are available.

The hotel will be popular with different types of passenger. Those with an early departure could stay there and get a decent sleep before walking upstairs to check-in to their flight. Others arriving from a long flight could appreciate a fresh shower, snack and a sleep before making their onward journey.
