Vistara offers live TV on its Boeing 787s

On flights to UK and mainland Europe

Passengers on some international flights with Vistara can now stay connected and get real-time updates of events happening all around the world.

The Indian full service airline has introduced live TV on its Boeing 787-9 aircraft on flights between India and the UK and mainland Europe.

The free service, powered by Panasonic, can be seen on seat back screens and includes two sports channels and three news channels:

  • Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra to watch sports events
  • BBC News, CNN and CNBC for live news

The new service comes just in time for passengers to enjoy some major sports events, including:

  • Mens’ ICC World T20 (Cricket)
  • FIFA World Cup
  • Men’s Hockey World Cup
  • Australian Open (Tennis)
  • Women’s ICC World T20 (Cricket)
  • Super Bowl (American Football)

Mind you, depending on the teams involved and any controversy, the passenger cabin could get interesting.
