First of 4 Boeing 787s ordered by TAAG
TAAG Angola Airlines has received its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
The aircraft is registered D2-TEQ and named ‘Namibe,’ .
The 787 is leased from AerCap and landed in Luanda just days before the flag carrier of Angola commemorates the 50th anniversary of its first Boeing aircraft delivery, a 737-200.
It is the first of 4 787s ordered by TAAG, The airline has placed an order for two 787-9s and two 787-10s.
The introduction of the 787 Dreamliner will enable the carrier to expand its long-haul network.
The new 787-9 means that TAAG can launch new routes to Europe and explore opportunities in Asia and North America.
Currently TAAG flies to 12 destinations across Africa, Europe, South America and China.

TAAG has not released details but reports suggest the 787-9 has 313 seats in a 2 class layout:

TAAG is leasing the 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft from AerCap, a specialist in aviation leasing.
Based in Dublin, AerCap serves approximately 300 customers around the world. The company leases in excess of 1700 aircraft and has just under 400 new aircraft on order.
