Thai Airways received its first Airbus A321neo at its base at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok.
Leasing company AerCap, delivered the brand new A321neo, registration HS-TOA, on 25 December 2025.
Thai plans to operate its A321neo on regional routes across the Asia-Pacific network from Bangkok to cities like Delhi, Hong Kong and Phuket.
Thai has ordered 32 A321neo.
Thai plans the first flight with its new aircraft will be on 22 January 2026 on its Bangkok–Singapore–Bangkok route.
Cabin layout
Thai’s A321neos seat 175 passengers across two classes:
- 16 Business (Royal Silk Class) across 5 rows, 3 rows have a 2 x 2 layout, 2 rows are 1 x 1
- 159 Economy, in a 3 x 3 layout
Cabin features
Thai is enhancing the passenger experience with an in-flight entertainment system (IFE) at every seat, featuring 4K resolution touchscreens with Bluetooth headphone connectivity.
Business

The Royal Silk Class cabin is designed to deliver a widebody-like comfort experience, featuring fully flat beds with 180-degree recline and increased seat pitch.
Rows alternate between four and two seats per row giving multiple seating options.
All seats turn into flat beds for sleeping and offer an inflight entertainment system complete with various charging options.
Economy
Economy Class seats are ergonomically designed, with a 110-degree recline and six-way adjustable headrests.
Large inflight entertainment screens and USB charging ports are available at every seat.
WCs
A total of 4 WCs for up to 175 passengers:
- Business has a single toilet at the front of the cabin for the 16 passengers
- Economy has 3 toilets at the rear of the cabin for 159 passengers

Supplier
Thai is leasing the Airbus A321neo aircraft from AerCap, a specialist in aviation leasing.
Based in Dublin, AerCap serves approximately 300 customers around the world. The company leases in excess of 1700 aircraft and has just under 400 new aircraft on order.
AerCap is listed on the New York Stock Exchange (AER) and has offices in Shannon, Memphis, Miami, Singapore, London, Dubai, Shanghai, Amsterdam and other locations around the world.
The A321neo
The Airbus A321neo is a new-generation, single-aisle aircraft in the A320 Family.
Passenger Capacity
The longest-fuselage member of Airbus’ single-aisle A320 Family, it seats 180 to 220 passengers in a two-class layout, and as many as 244 in a higher-density arrangement.
Fuel Efficiency
The A321neo is powered by CFM International’s LEAP-1A and Pratt & Whitney’s PurePower PW1100G-JM geared turbofan, which deliver fuel savings of up to 20% compared to the previous A321ceo.
The A321neo features advanced wingtip devices known as sharklets, which improve aerodynamic efficiency and reduce drag by up to 4%, further enhancing fuel efficiency.
The aircraft is certified to operate with up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
