The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has opened a TSA Pre✓™ application center at San Antonio International Airport (SAT).
TSA Pre✓™ is an expedited screening program that allows passengers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt. They also can keep their laptop in its case and 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels baggie in a carry-on bag.
To date, there are more than 330 application centers across the country, including 37 centers at 34 airports.
The TSA Pre✓™ application process allows U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents to go through a pre-enrollment process online at tsa.gov and visit an application center to provide biographic information (e.g. name, date of birth, address, etc.), fingerprints, valid required identity and citizenship/immigration documentation, and a fee of $85 for a five-year membership.

SAT has had a TSA Pre✓™ lane at each checkpoint since November 2013. Participating airlines at SAT include Alaska, America, Delta, Southwest, United and US Airways.
Once approved, passengers receive a Known Traveler Number (KTN) and have the opportunity to use TSA Pre✓™ lanes at security checkpoints at more than 150 participating airports and on 12 airlines, including: Alaska Airlines, Air Canada, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue Airways, OneJet, Southwest Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways and Virgin America.
As always, TSA continues to incorporate random and unpredictable security measures throughout the airport, and no individual will be guaranteed expedited screening. Additional program information and how to enroll can be found at tsa.gov.
