AirAsia X introduces new Xcite inflight entertainment

Huawei tablet is pre-loaded with hours of entertainment

Malaysia airline AirAsia X has upgraded its inflight entertainment.

Passengers can now pre-book and hire the Xcite Inflight Entertainment tab, which is a Huawei Mediapad 2 that comes with a 10.1” full HD widescreen display and Harman Kardon audio.

The tablets come pre-loaded Hollywood blockbusters, other international and local movies and TV shows, music, games and magazines.

Passengers can also shop while they fly as the AirAsia BIG Duty Free catalogue is also included in the tab.

The Xcite Inflight Entertainment tab supports five languages (English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Korean, Japanese) and is complimentary for all Premium Flatbed seats. Economy passengers can pre-book the tab via airasia.com for RM49 (11 USD , 10.28 Euro) or request it onboard for RM60 (13.50 USD , 12.60 Euro).

Currently Xcite is showing 21 Days Under the Sky, Storks, X-Men: Apocalypse, The Maze Runner,  The Drop and more. Television available includes Modern Family and Supergirl.

Xcite Tab is available for rent on board all AirAsia X (D7) flights (except to New Zealand, Nepal and Saudi Arabia).

The Huawei tablets replace the Samsung Galaxy Tablets that the airline was previously using.
