Solaseed Air deploys inflight entertainment across fleet

Japanese regional carrier offers IFE on entire 737-800 fleet

Japanese regional airline Solaseed Air has deployed an IFE system across its fleet of Boeing 737-800s.

The low-cost airline operates a fleet of 12 Boeing 737-800 aircraft and flies from Tokyo Haneda to a number of airports in Japan, including Miyazaki, Kumamoto, Nagasaki, Kagoshima, Oita

Passengers on all Solaseed Air flights can now enjoy inflight entertainment streamed to their own devices.

The IFE system streams video, audio, games and digital magazines.

The airline can push advertising, inflight shopping, and payment processing options. Making it an ideal platform for the airline to make more money from ancillary revenue, whether the IFE service itself is offered as a free or charged service.
