Emirates has introduced off-airport check-in at Ajman bus terminal.
Emirates passengers can take check-in at the bus terminal, take the short bus trip to the airport and drop bags at a special area at Terminal 3.
Located in the Ajman Central Bus Terminal the check-in area is the first Emirates off-airport check-in outside of Dubai. Open 24 hours a day, the Emirates check-in area will have four desks and two self-service kiosks.
Passengers can:
- check-in
- choose or change seats
- update passport and Skywards information
- verify Covid-19 related medical records for their destination
- collect boarding passes
They then take an Ajman Transport Authority bus to Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport. The distance is about 30km and takes about 22 minutes.
Once passengers arrive at Terminal 3, they drop their bags in a dedicated baggage area and proceed directly to immigration and security, bypassing the check-in desks.
Plans are underway to integrate baggage check-in at the new Ajman check-in in the coming weeks.
Bus trips from the bus terminal to Terminal 3 run in parallel with Emirates’ peak operational periods, which include early and late morning scheduled flights as well as late night departures.

Emirates off-airport check-in
Emirates already has off-airport check-in at Port Rashid and Dubai Harbour. The airline also provides a convenient Home Check-in service from anywhere in Dubai. That allows passengers to complete check-in from their home, hotel or office and have their bags transported to the airport before their flight.
