Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) in Northeast Florida has released its “JAX Airport” app.
The app was developed to meet the needs of passengers desiring information on-the-go. Over the last several years, there has been an upward trend in the number of passengers accessing the JAX website, www.flyjax.com, from mobile devices.
It has many features to help passengers throughout the airport, including flight information, a comprehensive list of shops and restaurants at JAX and an interactive map of the ticketing, baggage claim and gate areas.
The free app gives passengers access to the airport’s many in-terminal amenities, the latest airport news as well as job listings.
The app is now available for both Android and iOS devices.
Steve Grossman, Jacksonville Aviation Authority CEO:
“We strive to enhance the airport experience for our passengers. With so many people using mobile devices, an airport-specific app seemed to fill a need.”
