Thomas Cook Airlines has added an improved economy section on its short and medium haul flights.

Called Economy PLUS , the new product includes additional services such as priority boarding, an increased baggage allowance and complimentary drinks in-flight.

Economy PLUS will supplement Thomas Cook’s existing Economy fare, giving passengers the option to add small extras to their flight.

Benefits for Economy PLUS passengers include:

  • priority security lane and check-in
  • additional 4kg of hand luggage
  • 25kg of hold luggage
  • the option to reserve a seat
  • complimentary in-flight drinks and an improved meal.

They will also have access to Thomas Cook’s mobile in-flight entertainment service, Sunstream.

Andy Gillies, Thomas Cook Airlines Group Head of Product:

“The flight is such an important part of the travel experience, so we wanted to make sure that our customers have a choice between a price-sensitive offering like our regular Economy Class, as well as a more inclusive package that offers greater relaxation.

“With Economy PLUS, customers will be able to board faster, take more with them, and relax in-flight from start to finish.”

The Economy PLUS upgrade is on sale now for £59.99 one way. It is available to passengers on all short and medium haul flights, departing from 1st November 2017.
