e-Parking service launched at Toronto Pearson

Passengers can find, book and pay for parking in advance

Passengers at Toronto Pearson can now pre-book parking at the airport.

Chicago-based ParkWhiz is providing passengers at Canada’s largest airport with a new way to park at the airport.

The app connects parking lot operators with passengers who can find, reserve and pay for parking in advance.

How it works

  • Passengers download the ParkWhiz or BestParking apps, or visit ParkWhiz.com or BestParking.com, search for availability at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
  • They look at what is available,  compare prices and book what is best for them.
  • They pay and receive a confirmation email with a 2D barcode. (Just like an airline boarding pass, it is available on a mobile or paper printed receipt.)
  • Passengers use the barcode on the confirmation email to enter and exit the parking facilities.

ParkWhiz says it will offer a robust inventory of parking spaces for passengers to choose from, including Daily Park garages at Terminals 1 and 3, Value Park garage and surface lot, and the airport’s Valet Care offerings.

ParkWhiz is an equally convenient option for passengers flying out of the airport, and for those who park at the airport and take the UP Express train to downtown Toronto.

Scott Collier, Vice President, Customer and Terminal Services at Toronto Pearson:

“We are committed to providing passengers with more choice, value and convenience when parking onsite at Toronto Pearson International Airport.

“ParkWhiz reflects this mission by giving our passengers another channel to reserve their parking. Airport parking is a key part of the passenger experience and this easy-to-use technology solution supports our goal to become the best airport in the world.”

Todd Tucker, SVP Market Development for ParkWhiz:

“We are excited to partner with Toronto Pearson International Airport to provide travelers more convenient ways to park at the airport.

“By allowing travelers to purchase parking in advance, we hope to create a more seamless parking experience for everyone.”
