JetBlue first London flight arrives at Heathrow

American airline JetBlue’s first flight to London has touched down at Heathrow.

Flight number B6007 left New York JFK last night and arrived at the UK airport at 0931 this morning.

The airline is using its brand new Airbus A321LR on the route, the world’s top business route.

The aircraft has 138 seats in a 3 class layout. There are 144 economy seats over 19 rows in a traditional 3 by 3 layout. Business (called Mint by JetBlue) has 24 seats (called Suites) in a 1 by 1 layout over 12 rows. The front row is actually called Mint Studio and is quite fancy. Despite the pandemic, JetBlue clearly hopes their product will be a hit with the business passenger.

The launch of the oft-rumoured flights by JetBlue have obviously been affected by the pandemic. JetBlue now plans to add flights from JFK to Gatwick in September and from Boston to London next year.
