Dubai International has a new baggage service at Terminal 2.
Dubai Airports, the airport operator, has introduced a new Baggage Service Centre combining left luggage and mishandled baggage.
The new 24-hour facility is a one-stop shop for all baggage-related services. It ensures passengers can easily store and reclaim their bags around the clock.
Left luggage is a service where passengers can store collect their bags later. This allows passengers to explore the city, go to meetings etc and pick up their bags when it suits them,
Mishandled baggage refers to lost, delayed, or damaged bags. If a passenger finds any of their bags mishandled, they provide their baggage tag and a description, and the centre will try to locate the missing item. The centre provides a replacement bag if any bag is damaged.
The new facility securely connects publicly accessible areas with the secured areas of the terminal, allowing passengers to claim their bags without the need to go through additional screening processes.
The new service is a result of collaboration between Dubai Airports and its service partners, including Dubai Police, Dubai Customs, and ground handler dnata.
Dubai Airports operates both of Dubai’s airports, Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central (DWC).
