Iberia trialling VeriFLY on flights to US

Follows oneworld partners, American and British Airways

Iberia passengers flying to Miami and New York can now use the VeriFLY app to check that they have the health documentation they need for the US.

VeriFLY checks that passengers have the health documentation they need to be admitted to the country they are going to.

The trial is for two months and is on Iberia’s flights from Spain to New York or Miami.

Iberia says the use of the app remains optional for now!

How it works

  • Passengers download the VeriFly app on their iOS or Android device and register their account
  • They input their flight information to know the access requirements to the US due to COVID-19
  • Then enter details of their negative COVID-19 test and complete the affidavit required by the US government.
  • When the app verifies that required conditions are met, a green check mark will appear, which passengers show at the airport when traveling.

IAG trials VeriFLY

Iberia is the latest in the oneworld group of airlines to trial the VeriFLY app. American Airlines started trialling the app in November 2020 and British Airways started trialling the app for flights to the US in February 2021.

Supplier

The app comes from Daon, a privately owned company based in Virginia, USA.
