Dallas Fort Worth offers app for Apple TV

App gives flight information, parking products and traffic information

Dallas Fort Worth International (DFW) Airport is the first airport in the world to introduce an app for Apple TV customers.

DFW passengers are now able to access the latest travel information via the Apple TV app and will have access to the latest travel information while packing and preparing for departure.

The DFW app provides passengers with information for their upcoming trip, including:

  • Flight Information: Passengers can search for their flight and view information such as departure time, allotted time left until departure, gate and flight status. A dashboard of their selected flight will remain at the top of each screen, conveniently making sure the info remains accessible.
  • Parking: A map of the parking products at DFW is available for passengers to view general information, parking availability, rates and the closest options to their gate.
  • Traffic Map: The app will determine the passenger’s current location and plan a route to and from DFW. Traffic and estimated time of arrival will also be shown.

Ken Buchanan, DFW’s Executive Vice President of Revenue Management:

“The Apple TV app allows us to provide customers information they want in real-time. This app and the DFW mobile app demonstrate our commitment to personalizing the travel experience for our customers.”

Sharon McCloskey, Vice President of Marketing for DFW:

“At DFW, we’re constantly looking for ways to make the travel process as seamless as possible for our customers, and that means using the technology that customers can personalize for their needs. Due to the huge increase in Apple TV sales in the last year, we want to be part of that growth to reach new and loyal customers.”

DFW launched an app for Apple Watch in 2016.
